Colors TV is soon launching a new show ‘Nima Denzongpa’ which is an inspiring, intriguing and struggling life story of a girl who hails from Northeastern state Sikkim.
The lead role in the show will be played by Assamese actress Surabhi Das.
This will be Surabhi’s hindi first project in Indian Television. She became popular from her role in the Assamese serial ‘Parineeta’.
The promo of the show was released on Wednesday (July 28) and the show is expected to be aired on Colors TV channel as well as on the OTT platform Voot.
Sharing the promo of her upcoming serial, Surabhi wrote on Instagram: “This is how destiny works maybe .. Presenting Nima Denzongpa front of you all.. My Hindi television debut with a powerful show and narrative like ‘Nima Denzongpa’.
“The story of Nima is not only close to my heart but it is something that I have lived and experienced at some point in my life. I am grateful that through Nima’s journey, the viewers will get to know the struggles that people of North East India go through as they are subjected to many prejudices and even called names, knowingly or unknowingly. It is a emotional new beginning for me and I hope through this show, we can break many myths and touch million hearts… Need all your blessings and love..”, she added.

Produced under the banner Peninsula Pictures, the story of ‘Nima Denzongpa’ revolves around a girl (Nima) from Sikkim who gets shifted to Mumbai with her love.
The promo shows that how she faces discrimination, troll, and struggle in Mumbai as she hails from Northeast India.
In the show, Nima will conquer all these challenges and prove that she is also an Indian.
