Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital at Khar road on Tuesday (June 29), after he complained of breathlessness.
The 98-year-old actor is said to be stable and is under observation at the hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU).
“He was admitted on Tuesday during the day due to breathlessness. Given his age and recent hospitalisation, the family decided to take him to the hospital as a precautionary measure. He is fine. He is in the ICU so that the doctors can monitor him,” a source from the hospital told news agency PTI.
This is the second time this month that the veteran actor has been admitted to hospital. He was hospitalised on June 6 after experiencing breathlessness and was later discharged on June 11.
His personal handle had tweeted on June 6, “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr. Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please keep Sahab in your prayers and please stay safe.” The actor was put on oxygen support at the time and a successful pleural aspiration procedure was performed.
