BTS' 'Butter' Cross 10 Million Views In 13 Minutes, Breaks Record For Biggest MV Premiere On YouTube

BTS can’t help but break records! The K-pop supergroup dropped the music video for their new single, ‘Butter’ on Friday, and the BTS ARMY turned out in force.

Butter premiered at 9:30 am IST and breaks several records and it did so, within the first hour of its release.

According to reports, RM, V, Jin, J-Hope, SUGA, Jung Kook and Jimin broke not one, but three records as soon as they dropped the song.

BTS outdid themselves and broke three records they set in 2020 with ‘Dynamite’.

‘Butter’ officially had the biggest YouTube Premiere of all time, with 3.89 million viewers watching the song launch live.

They also got the record for the fastest music video in YouTube history to hit 10 million views in just 13 minutes.

It also became the fastest music video in YouTube history to surpass 20 million views. They clocked 20 million views in just 54 minutes, much faster than the ‘Dynamite’ record of 1 hour and 14 minutes.

‘Butter’ has also reached top spot on iTunes in over 90 countries.

‘Butter’ has also clocked 55 million views since its release.

‘Butter’ is BTS’ second English language single after the smashing release of their ‘Dynamite’ in 2020.

Known as ARMY, the K-pop band’s fans also showered their praise for ‘Butter’ on social media.

‘Butter’ is a dance pop track, with a homage to Queen’s ‘Another One Bites The Dust’, that was co-written and co-composed by the group’s leader RM alongside Jenna Andrews, Rob Grimaldi, Stephen Kirk, Alex Bilowitz, Sebastian Garcia and Ron Perry.
