The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Guwahati) has been ranked sixth among the Indian institutions in the academic sector by the prestigious Nature Index for 2019-2020.
The ranking by ‘Nature Index’ is based on data collected from the institution during 2019-20.
According to the ‘Nature Index’ data, this year IIT-Guwahati ranked 350th among all institutions in the world category.

Subjects like Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Earth and Environmental were evaluated.
Based on this data, IIT-Guwahati India ranks are – 5th in Chemistry, 7th in Physical Sciences, 9th in Life Sciences and 12th in Earth and Environmental.
According to the Nature Index, IIT-Guwahati achieved 68 counts and a share percentage of 37.41.
The ‘Nature Index’ functions as an indicator of high-quality research in the Natural and Physical Sciences.
