Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Super 30’ has been making it to the headlines since its announcement, due to various reasons.

According to reports, eight months ago, a PIL has been filed by IIT Guwahati students – Avinash Baro, Bikash Das, Monjit Doley and Dhaniram Taw. The Gauhati High Court has asked Anand Kumar via a notice to respond to the complaint against him. However, the mathematician Anand Kumar failed to reply and now the students have appealed to raise a ban on the release of the film ‘Super 30’ which.

Speaking to mid-day, Amit Goyal, legal counsel of the students said, “[The film] seems inauthentic. We never sought to damage the film, but [Kumar] has a court case against him. His reply [to the PIL] doesn’t [address] the allegations completely.”

The PIL that was filed against Anand Kumar (whose life has inspired the making of the film ‘Super 30’) last year, asked him to reveal the names of the 26 students, he claimed to have successfully got admission in IIT in 2018.

The IIT Guwahati students had previously also claimed that Anand Kumar’s false indications were encouraging students to apply for his Super 30 course. However, when any student wanted to take admission, the student was first asked to take admission in Ramanujan School of Mathematics where the student had to pay excessive fees of Rs 33,000.
