Assam girl Jyotishmita Baruah shines at Femina Miss India 2019 finale as she made it to the Top 6 of the beauty pageant.
The 56th edition of Femina Miss India 2019 grand finale was held on June 15 at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium in Mumbai.
Representing Assam, Jyotishmita was the only participant from Northeast region to make it to the Top 6 of the Miss India beauty pageant this year.
Jyotishmita Baruah hails from Biswanath Chariali, Assam and has completed her graduation from B Borooah College, Guwahati.
Jyotishmita also bagged the sub-title of Sephora Miss Glamorous Look (East Zonals) during the competition. Other contestants from Northeast states also won various sub-titles and sub-contests.
The exciting finale ended with Suman Rao from Rajasthan being crowned fbb Colors Femina Miss India World 2019.

While Shivani Jadhav from Chhattisgarh was crowned as fbb Colors Femina Miss Grand India 2019, Shreya Shanker from Bihar was crowned fbb Colors Femina Miss India United Continents 2019, meanwhile, Sanjana Vij from Telangana was crowned fbb Colors Femina Miss India Runner Up 2019.

The event was adjudged by Bollywood choreographer Remo D’Souza, actors Huma Qureshi, Chitrangada Singh, fashion designer Falguni Shane Peacocka and Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri.
During the event, film stars Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal and Mouni Roy enthralled the audience with their dance performances.

Among the 30 contestants participating from across India, Suman Rao won and will now represent India at Miss World 2019 in Thailand.
