A disturbing video of a young girl being physically and sexually assaulted by four men has gone viral in social media since Wednesday morning.
In the video, one woman too accompanies the men to abuse the girl.
According to Bangladesh police, the girl on the viral video who being sexually assaulted is a Bangladeshi national.
However, the heinous incident took place in India’s Kerala and the video was taken nearly 15-16 days ago, claims Bangladesh police.
As per police, the girl had no contact with the family for the past two years.
Bangladesh police also revealed that the victim and one of the accused are residents of Dhaka’s Moghbazar.
The face of one of the accused matched that of a photograph posted on a Facebook profile, through which police identified the accused, a senior police official from Bangladesh said.
Police showed the video to the suspect’s mother, who identified him as 26-year-old Rifatul Islam Hridoy, also known as ‘TikTok Hridoy Babo’.
Reportedly, Hridoy came to India three to four months back and was involved in many illegal activities in several areas through TikTok.
Bangladesh police informed that he left Bangladesh without informing his parents. Police also recovered his voter ID card, Registration card, JEC exam admit card etc.
The police official also said that Hridoy is currently in India’s Pune.
Bangladesh Police is currently investigating the matter and working to identify the other culprits.
