Assam registered two more COVID-19 related deaths on Monday, taking the fatality tally in the state to 1,089.
Assam on Monday also reported 11 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the tally to 2,17,304.
The fresh cases were detected out of 15,670 tests conducted on Monday. So far, 66,87,517 samples have been tested for COVID-19
While 16 patients have recovered from the disease during the day, taking the total number of recovery tally to 2,14,601. The recovery rate in the state currently stands at 98.76%.
The current COVID-19 death rate in the state is 0.50%, while 1,347 coronavirus patients have also died for other reasons.
The total number of healthcare workers vaccinated against coronavirus in the state has reached 1,28,146. Among them, 3,862 have received the second dose so far, the National Health Mission (NHM) said in a media bulletin.
Meanwhile, the first dose of vaccine was administered to 955 beneficiaries on Monday while 1,647 people got the second dose, the NHM said.
