Watch: Akshat Jain, A 23-Year-Old IIT-Guwahati Graduate Cracked UPSC Civil Services & Secured AIR 2nd Rank

Akshat Jain, a 23-years-old IIT-Guwahati Graduate cracked the UPSC Civil Services exam in the second attempt and secured AIR 2nd rank in 2018.

A resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan, Akshat completed his graduation in Designing from IIT Guwahati in the year 2017.

After he completed his graduation, Akshat appeared for UPSC Civil Services exam for the first time. But he was unable to pass the preliminary exam by two marks in his first attempt due to insufficient preparation.

In his second attempt, Akshat cracked the UPSC Civil services exam.

The desire to join the civil services perhaps began long ago on seeing both his parents be a part of the civil service. Akshat’s father, D C Jain, is now the Joint Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), New Delhi and his mother, Simmi Jain, is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer and posted as ADG of National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
