CSK Donates 2 Crore To CRPF

Just before the beginning of IPL 2019 opening game at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni presents a cheque of Rs 2 crore on behalf of CSK to Inspector General of the CRPF.

The donation worth Rs. 2 crores, that has been made by the defending champions Chennai Super Kings are the funds received from the total ticket sales of the season opener game of the IPL 2019.
The BCCI also donated Rs 20 crore (the budget earmarked for the opening ceremony of IPL) to the Indian Armed Forces same day.
“It was unanimously decided that the sum of Rs 11 crore be contributed to the Indian Army, Rs 7 crore to the CRPF and Rs 1 crore each to the Navy & Air Force respectively,” a BCCI release said.
