Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor’s doppelganger, Junaid Shah passed away after suffering a massive cardiac arrest at his residence on Thursday night.

According to India Today, 28-year-old Junaid was a resident of Ellahi Bagh area of Srinagar, Kashmir.

Junaid Shah became popular in 2014 for his uncanny resemblance to actor Ranbir Kapoor.

In 2015, late actor Rishi Kapoor had tweeted a picture of Junaid, comparing his looks to his son Ranbir.

“OMG. My own son has a double!!! Promise cannot make out. A good double,” Rishi Kapoor had tweeted.

Junaid’s resemblance to Ranbir Kapoor had helped him get some modelling assignments in Mumbai.

Confirming Junaid’s death, Kashmiri journalist Yusuf Jameel wrote on Twitter, “#RanbirKapoor’s lookalike promising Kashmiri young man and my old neighbor Nissar Ahmed Shah’s son Junaid Shah passed away after suffering a massive cardiac arrest on Thursday night.”

Yusuf also said that Junaid and his parents returned to his home in Kashmir from Mumbai a month ago.

“I’m told 28-year-old Junaid Shah and his parents had about a month back returned home from Mumbai where he would do modelling and was also reportedly enrolled in @AnupamPKher’s school of acting. He had no history of heart ailment,” Yusuf wrote.

Fans mourned Junaid’s sudden demise and expressed condolences.
