Republic TV editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami’s interrogation by the Mumbai Police ended after twelve and a half hours.
Arnab was called into the NM Joshi Marg police station in Mumbai at 9 AM on Monday for his comments against Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
The interrogation began at around 9.30 AM in the morning and ended at around 10 PM.

Recently, during his show, he had questioned Sonia Gandhi’s silence over the lynching of Sadhus in Maharashtra’s Palghar.
After being interrogated Arnab issued a statement in which he said that the interrogation was related to his comments on Sonia Gandhi.
“I have made it very clear that I stand by my comments. I have made it absolutely clear that everything that I have said is correct”, Arnab said.
He said that the Mumbai police is satisfied with his responses.
He further said that Republic TV’s coverage into the Palghar case will continue.

On Sunday, the Mumbai police had sent two notices to Arnab within 12 hours seeking to immediately interrogate.

Earlier, Arnab was granted a three week protection from arrest by the Supreme Court after he approached the court, challenging the multiple FIR filed against him that accused him of defaming Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Meanwhile, the two persons accused of attacking Arnab Goswami’s car while he was on his way home last week were granted bail by a court in Mumbai on Monday.
